YOMA – Young Musicians Academy offers weekend courses for those playing orchestral instruments and are aged between 10 and 20.

The weekend courses are held on site in Vänersborg or at our partners across the country. You can take part in person or online.

You can choose to apply for one of our programmes, which gives you access to all the weekend courses within that programme, or you can apply for each weekend course individually as individual courses.

You will develop best if you apply for and are accepted onto a programme and attend all the weekend courses that the programme offers.

Our programmes build on one another in four levels.

Level 1, YOMA FOR EVERYONE, gives you a great start. Anyone who has been playing for a few years can join.

There are then a further three levels in the progression ladder to help you develop over many years.

We are happy to collaborate with your regular instrumental teacher and welcome contact with your parents. They are welcome to come along and visit our courses.

We also collaborate with other music education providers like music colleges across the country and the rest of the Nordic region.

When you apply to YOMA for the first time, you should send a recording so that we can place you at the right level. If you are applying for YOMA FOR ALL, a recording is not necessary, but it helps us to create a good course for you.
