Course application, login and important dates

Application

The application to Polstjärnepriset Nordic Edition 2025 – the Course is now closed (deadline: 28 August).

To participate in Polstjärnepriset, both the competition and the course, you must be present during both periods in November and January. If you can only attend one of the periods, you can apply to one of the YOMA courses in November or January, which take place in parallel with Polstjärnepriset. A link to the application to these courses can be found here soon.

Fees and costs

Participation in the course and competition is free of charge. Costs for travels, meals and accommodation are paid by the course participants. Participants who play one of our focus instruments (oboe, bassoon, French horn, viola or double bass) will have their travel costs reimbursed.

Important dates

15 April  
The application opens.  

28 August 
Application submission deadline. Please note that recordings and scores must also be submitted by this date! 

4 September 
Notification of participation is sent by email to applicants selected for the course. 

11 September 
Deadline for confirmation of participation in the course. 

30 September 
Parts for the orchestral and chamber repertoire can be found at www.yomacenter.se/deltagarinfo/.  

31 October-3 November: Polstjärnepriset part 1. Mandatory attendance all days. 

31 October 
Arrival, check-in at Vänerparken from 14.30. Scheduled activities from 17.00. 

3 November 
Departure, no earlier than 17.00. 

1-6 January 2025: Polstjärnepriset part 2. Mandatory attendance all days. 

2 January 
Arrival for the course participants, check-in from 14.30. 

5 January 
Concert with Polstjärnepriset Symphony Orchestra at Gothenburg Concert Hall during the Final Round of the competition, 3.00 pm 

6 January (Please note: this is a Monday)
Concert at Stockholm Concert Hall.
