Polstjärnepriset Symphony Orchestra meets Valdres sommersymfoni

This month, the orchestra takes a trip abroad! We’re very happy to work together 23-28 June with the Valdres International Academy for Strings for young musicians in Valdres, Norway. Meanwhile, wind musicians will first meet in Vänersborg for a few days, and then also leave for Norway. In Valdres, strings and winds come together. They will perform at two concerts that end the course.

Under the baton of Andreas Patrik Hansson, Brahms Symphony nr. 4 will be played, as well as work for string orchestra by Grieg and Wiren. The course participants have already been working intensively on these pieces during our YOMA courses earlier this year. And it won’t end here, because the same pieces will be played at Östersjöfestivalen in Stockholm in August this year, with conductors Esa-Pekka Salonen and Marco Crispo!
