Fees and costs

Participation in the Polstjärnepriset course and competition is free of charge. Costs for travels, meals and accommodation are paid by the participants.

The application for the Polstjärnepriset course 2024 is now open, application deadline is 15 June.

Important dates

15 March
The application opens. Information and registration link can be found at www.yomacenter.se. Please read the information carefully.

28 August
Last day for applying to the Polstjärnepriset course. Please note that audio recordings and all sheet music must be sent to us latest on this day.

6 September
The participants who are offered a place in the competition, are being notified.

13 September
Last day for confirmation of participation at the competition.

2 October
Sheet music for ensemble and orchestra music can be found at the login page.

2-5 November: Polstjärnepriset part 1. It’s mandatory to be present on all days.

2 November
Check-in at Vänerparken 14.45-16.45.

5 November
Return journey, earliest 17.00

2-6 January 2024: Polstjärnepriset part 2. It’s mandatory to be present on all days.

2 January
Arrival day for the participants of the course. Registration at Vänerparken 14.45-16.45.

4 January
Concerts in Vänersborg at 15.00 and 18.00.

5 January
Final concert at 15.00 with Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra at Gothenburg Concert Hall.

6 January
Concert in another city.
