Polstjärneprisets double bassist to the Karjan Academy

Double bassist Harald Edin, a well-known figure from Polstjärnepriset, has won the audition for the Karajan Academy at the young age of 19. Harald has been a part of YOMA courses since the age of 11 and participated in the Polstjärnepriset competition five times, reaching the finals four times – more than anyone else. For this achievement, he was named the ‘Polstjärne Bassist.’

The Karajan Academy is a highly prestigious 2-year program affiliated with the Berlin Philharmonic, initiated by Herbert von Karajan in the 1970s. Harald is the first ever to be admitted at such a young age, even before starting his bachelor’s degree.
