YOMA open course weekend at Kungliga Musikhögskolan

Apply by: 15 Febuary. The course is for young musicians (aged 10-19) who have played a wind or string instrument for some years. The course is organised jointly by YOMA – Young Musicians Academy and the Royal College of Music and is for all instruments of wind and symphony orchestras.
Instrumental pedagogues are welcome to auscultate and participate in seminars.
This is what you do at YOMA for all
- You participate in group lessons and sectional rehearsals
- You play orchestral parts that suit you in difficulty
- You learn from our coaches (talented young musicians and students)
- You play in a wind, string and/or symphony orchestra (you get the sheet music in advance)
- You participate in one of the closing concerts if you join both days
- You learn more about YOMA and the music college, and listen to lessons and concerts with some very talented young musicians and students

Times
Saturday 12.00-19.00, Sunday 9.00-16.00. Final concerts 14.00-16.00 on the Sunday.

Course fee
Course fees depend on the programme you are in, where you live and whether you are participating IRL/online. In many cases, the courses are free of charge, but check what applies to you under your programme on the website or in this overview. You pay and organise your travels, accommodation and meals yourself. If you play oboe, bassoon, French horn, viola or double bass, we will pay for your travel (by bus/train) if you live more than 30 km from Stockholm.
