Polstjärnepriset Symphony Orchestra at the Baltic Sea Festival

At this year’s Baltic Sea Festival, Polstjärnepriset Symphony Orchestra will give a concert! The members of the orchestra are young, driven musicians from all over the Nordic region, including competitors and course participants from Polstjärnepriset 2023, Nordic Edition. In Berwardhallen on 26 August, as part of the Baltic Sea Festival, the Polstjärnepriset Symphony Orchestra and Inez Karlsson (winner Polstjärnepriset 2023) take to the concert stage, and at the baton are Marco Crispo and Esa‑Pekka Salonen, who are sharing the conducting.

The Baltic Sea Festival at the Swedish Radio concert hall Berwaldhallen is one of Europe’s leading festivals of classical music, featuring top-level artists, ensembles and conductors. For over twenty years, the Baltic Sea Festival has served as a forum that offers a combination of concerts and various initiatives aimed at a more sustainable Baltic Sea region. Environmental efforts, leadership, science and democracy have been important components alongside the music from the very beginning.

Musically the programme traverses the globe, and features 19th- to 21st-century works by Edvard Grieg (Norway), Carl Nielsen (Denmark), Antonín Dvořák (Bohemia), Igor Stravinsky (Russia), Dag Wirén (Sweden) and Lars-Erik Larsson (Sweden).

More information and tickets to the festival can be found at Berwaldhallen’s website.
