YOMA open course weekend May

Open string courses, online and IRL, for students and teachers.

The course is given both online and on site in Vänersborg and welcomes you (about 10 – 18 years old) who play string instruments and have played for a few years. If you are an instrumental teacher, you are welcome to accompany your own students or to attend the course for yourself.

You can choose whether you want to participate for one lesson or a whole day or even two days (two days if there is room for it in the course). This time you will have one individual lesson, one group lesson and playing together on Saturday.

On Sunday, the focus will be on playing together and rehearsals to practice this. The course is run in parallel with a course for young talents. They will play together with you. You will get a part that suits you, help with your part and maybe even a mentoring lesson with one of the talents. You can visit some of their lessons and the concert on Sunday.

If you participate online, you too can experience other’s lessons.

All YOMA courses are free of charge. If you play viola or double bass and participate in Vänersborg, we will even pay for your travel plus full board for one day.

We have extensive experience in online teaching and will help you with the technology if you want to participate online.

Info and registration

If you want to participate on site, we can offer accommodation and breakfast for 360 SEK/night in a shared room or 460 SEK in a single room. As a rule, all participants, except adults, are placed in shared rooms. We also offer lunch and dinner for 95 SEK/meal. If you wish to participate on site, we will send you a link to book and pay for meals and accommodation.

Please register as soon as possible, but no later than 16 April for IRL participants and 26 April for online participants. Your enrolment is valid only when you have sent the notes for your individual lessons as an attached pdf file (no link) in an email to yoma@vanersborg.se by the last day of enrolment.
