Kurs

YOMA open course weekend May

Open Course and Open Programme for strings, online and IRL, for students and educators.

The course is given both online and on site in Vänersborg and welcomes you (about 10-18 years old) who play string instruments and have played for a few years. You apply for a lesson or a full day or two days. Instrumental teachers are welcome to accompany their own students or to observe the course for themselves, online or on site.

If you take the Open Course and participate on site, you will play alongside participants in the Open Programme and the Talent Programme with a part that fits your level of difficulty. You can also receive coaching from one of the senior talents and attend their lessons and concerts.

To join the Open Programme, you must send a link to a recording on YouTube or Vimeo to yoma@yomacenter.se – no expired links – and have it approved. As of the academic year 2024/25, the Open Programme gives you access to twice as many course weekends/course days at YOMA compared to Open Courses: 4 course weekends instead of 2, and 8 course days instead of 4.

We have extensive experience with online learning and will help you with the technology if you want to participate online. If you participate online, in addition to your own lessons, you can participate in group lessons and experience the lessons of others.

All YOMA courses are free of charge. If you play viola or double bass and participate on site in Vänersborg, we’ll even pay for your travel plus one day’s accommodation and food.

Info and registration

If you participate on site, we can offer accommodation and breakfast for 400 SEK/night in a shared room or 500 SEK in a single room. As a rule, all participants, except adults, are placed in shared rooms. We also offer lunch and dinner for 110 SEK/meal. If you wish to participate on site, we will send you a link to book and pay for meals and accommodation.
