Kurs

YOMA course days 2-5 January in conjunction with Polstjärnepriset

Course days for the Open Programme and Talent Programme in Vänersborg.

The course takes place in conjunction with Polstjärnepriset and is only given on site in Vänersborg, not online. You work and give concerts together with the Polstjärnepriset contestants and the course participants from all over the Nordic region. The highlight will be the concert together with Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra on January 5th during Polstjärnepriset’s final.

The YOMA course is open to everyone aged 13-20. Admission is determined by the instrument distribution in Polstjärnepriset’s activities. We have room for more wind players, violas, double bassists and percussionists. Admission is governed by the distribution of instruments in the activities of Polstjärnepriset. You may even be invited to join the Polstjärnepriset Symphony Orchestra, a Nordic orchestra.

What is Polstjärnepriset?

Polstjärnepriset was established in 2007 by the municipality of Vänersborg as an annual competition for Sweden’s best young classical musicians. The prize is now organised by the National Centre for Music Talents. Over the years, PSP has evolved into more than a competition – the purpose of Polstjärnepriset is to recognise young talents playing classical music and optimise their continued musical development. Teaching consists of individual lessons, master classes, seminars, and orchestral and ensemble playing where all participants also have the chance to play and perform together in a series of prestigious concerts.
